STANDARD RETURNS POLICY

Refunds can be requested within 14 days of the date of despatch, and exchanged within 30 days from the date of despatch. If you choose to exchange your item outside of the 14 day refund policy, a refund will not be offered for the exchanged item unless the product is faulty.

Please note, orders paid using PayPal, Interest Free Credit or purchased via an in store devices (Kiosk or Tablet) can only be refunded once received back at our Head Office. Our showrooms will happily take receipt of your items and arrange for them to be securely sent free of charge to our Head Office for processing.

Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of earrings or cleaning products if the tamper proof packaging has been opened. This is for hygiene reasons and doesn't affect your statutory rights. We cannot accept items that have been engraved, personalised or altered.

Our promise to replace the item or refund your money does not apply to faults or damages caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

Please be aware that refunds for purchases made using 3rd party tender types e.g. insurance cards, may not be possible on the same day. If this is the case, our showroom or customer experience teams will advise you and keep you updated with progress.

Except in relation to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods, where your statutory rights are unaffected, personalised goods made to a customer's specifications may not be returned. When your item is a special ordered large item, we do not keep stock of this item and we will raise an order through a supplier direct to you. In such cases you may not be able to return your goods if they are unwanted, however if you experience problems with your goods or order then please contact the Goldsmiths customer experience team.

Please Note: When processing your return we may need to speak with you before we are able to complete the process. If we are unable to make contact with you within 14 days of receiving your item(s), we will return it to the delivery address linked to the order.

Delivery

Currently, we only operate within the UK, including highlands and islands. All items purchased online £150 & above are sent using a secure courier service. Any items purchased below £150 will be sent using Royal Mail 2nd Class.

Delivery times are currently 2-3 working days.

Please note delivery time may be extended over public holidays and in extenuating circumstances.

Upon delivery, a signature by an individual over the age of 18 will be required. Should no one be available a card will be left with further instructions.

We aim to meet with any delivery date or agreed date, but please be aware that all dates quoted by us are given in good faith but occasionally deliveries can be affected by circumstances beyond our control. For whatever reason a delivery is delayed we will notify you.

Please be aware our Website shows ‘one off’ items which may also be on sale in one of our high street branches. While we aim to limit this situation from occurring, but in the unlikely event that an online purchase is completed at the same time as in branch, the item will be allocated to the customer that successfully completes payment. If this happens to be an in branch customer, any online payments taken will be refunded back to the account.

Click & Collect

We offer a free Click & Collect service from our store. Simply select this option during checkout, 

Please note delivery to your local store takes the same time as our normal delivery service.  A member of our team will contact you when your order is ready to collect. 

Click & Collect Instructions:

We will only serve and release an order to the named person on the Billing details on the order.  No substitution or change to this is permitted. 

Once your order is placed and you have been contacted by a member of our team advising your order is ready, please bring the following items when you collect. 

  • Photo ID (Driving License, Passport, Citizen Card)
  • Payment Card – The card you used for paying for your order
  • Order Confirmation Email / Print Out (Email on mobile phone is acceptable)

We reserve the right to refuse service should inconclusive identification be provided. Should this occur, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be made. 

We will look after your order for 14 days, if no collection is made in this time the order will be cancelled and refunded.


Terms & conditions

  1. Pre-owned jewellery items are sold as seen. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please let us know.
  2. We cannot exchange or refund any pre-owned items without a receipt.
  3. It’s important that any unwanted item/s are returned in a re-saleable condition. Therefore you must have all the original packaging and labels, and that both are undamaged and unused.
  4. Please note that all pre-owned items are sold as seen. We cannot be held liable for the extent of previous wear and tear. However, should an item of jewellery break in the normal course of its use, we will be happy to try and arrange a quote for you for its repair.

We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on the following items:

  • Products which have been personalised for you.
  • Products that have been made to order.


This warranty is issued in addition to and not in substitution for your statutory rights relating to faulty or mis-described goods.

Pre-Owned Watches :  Warranty, Terms & Conditions

All watches have been authenticated by our in-house accredited horologist. We cannot guarantee that boxes or other packaging supplied with items are authentic.

All watches displayed on this website are shown with photographs and/or video of the physical item itself. As a pre-owned watch specialist, some watches may show signs of use and wear, which is often commensurate with age. We encourage customers to carefully inspect the photographs or use our View In Store service if they have concerns over the condition of an item.

Watch movement is covered under this warranty; however, this does not apply to any inappropriate damage caused by mistreatment of the watch or normal wear and tear. This warranty does not cover damage to bezels, bracelets/leather straps, cases, crystals, and glasses. The warranty does not cover accidental damage or loss and is not transferable, any third party intervention whilst the watch is within its warranty period will void the warranty.

Unless otherwise stated Diamond Dials/Bezels are classified as custom made. 

It is important to note that mechanically powered watches such as Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, Omega etc will never keep time as accurately as a quartz watch, a loss or gain of 10 seconds per day is deemed acceptable.

Dated items give an approximate manufacturing date, watches that are sold with their original paperwork will be listed by the date sold on the paperwork, you acknowledge that the date of manufacture may be significantly earlier than the paperwork date.

Although we make reasonable efforts to ensure product information is accurate, we make no guarantees that the content on our site is free from errors or omissions, complete or up to date. Product dimensions and weights supplied are intended to give an approximate indication.

No watch should be treated as water resistant unless specifically stated so by us. Where watches are sold as water resistant please see the below table to explain which activates are suitable for various water-resistant depths.

View In Store Service

We offer a no-obligation service to view the majority of our items over £500 in one of our store. Our View In Store terms and conditions can be found below:

  • You will have 5 working days to view your item once it has arrived in your local store.
  • Please note if an item is marked as 'Online Only' then it is not available to be viewed in a local store at this time.
  • Strict maximum of 2 active requests at any time. Any additional requests will be rejected. If the item you wish to view is £5,500 or above, you will be restricted to 1 item request at a time.
  • Photo ID is required during your visit, e.g Driving Licence or Passport to view the item."

Diamonds & Gemstones

All dimensions and estimated weights of diamonds and gemstones have been determined without unsettling the stones and are, therefore, only approximate because of limitations imposed by the mount. Estimated weights are normally calculated by applying standard formulae to the measurements taken.

Diamond colour and clarity assessments are an opinion only, and both colour and clarity can be estimated only because of limitations imposed by the mount. The quality nomenclature used is that recommended by the GIA (The Gemmological Institute of America). Gemmological descriptions of diamonds and gemstones, including disclosure of treatments, are based on testing carried out by standard gemmological equipment without unsettling the stones.

Whilst reasonably satisfied that all such descriptions are correct, no responsibility can be assumed if subsequent unsettling and testing disproves these opinions. In the event of serious doubt, it is recommended that independent testing is undertaken by a recognised gemmological laboratory.

Please note that some of our pre-owned Jewellery contain laboratory-created diamonds. These individual items are clearly labelled, if you need any further assistance please speak to a member of our team who can help.

New Jewellery

We guarantee that all of our new jewellery is compliant with EU UK Reach Regulations (January 2021) and within legally acceptable nickel, cadmium and lead limits.

Pierced Items (Earrings & Body Jewellery)

For pierced items received in sealed bags, we can accept refunds within the usual 30 day period provided they are returned in their original, unopened packaging. If you are returning your pierced jewellery please ensure the plastic bag for your jewellery remains sealed. Please note: If the items have been removed from the sealed bag or if the bag has been tampered with or unsealed in any way, we cannot refund the item due to hygiene reasons.

Children's Jewellery

Our Children’s Jewellery ranges are designed for little ones aged three and above, we have created the guidelines below to keep them safe:

Most importantly, your little one should not be left unsupervised whilst wearing jewellery, and jewellery should not be worn if they are playing, doing activities or sleeping. Jewellery should also not be worn for prolonged periods of time.

Some smaller items, such as earrings, are a choking hazard, so please ensure any jewellery is not put in the child’s mouth. Earrings should also be cleaned after being worn, it is best to do this with warm soapy water, and then dry the item(s) with a clean cloth.

As your little ones get older and grow, it's likely that jewellery may become tighter or no longer fit, please do not wear them if they are tight or uncomfortable.

It is always possible that some of the items we sell may be incorrectly priced. If this does occur, you will be contacted as soon as possible to inform you of the error. Once we told you about an error in the price of the product you have ordered, you will be given the option of buying the goods at the correct price or cancelling the order. In the event the payment has been processed this will be refunded. If we cannot get in contact with you to notify you of the error, your order will be cancelled.
