Is it safe to send my gold to you ?
We use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is prepaid. The envelope provided is strong & completely safe and requires a signature upon delivery and is insured to £500.
How do i sell my gold to you ?
Simply complete the online application form to request your Goldman Bullion Gold selling pack, this will be sent out to you within 24 hours. The gold selling pack will include our valuation form which you will need to complete and sign, a padded envelope to put your gold into and a prepaid insured special delivery postal bag to send back to us with your gold and the valuation form inside.
How do you value my gold ?
When we receive your selling pack it will be carefully unpacked, and the contents will be checked and itemised on the valuation form that you filled in with your selling pack. This process is video recorded for security.
Your gold is then passed to our professional valuation team where it is tested to ascertain its gold purity. A senior valuer will then be in contact with our offer.
If you accept our offer your cash will be transferred to you – normally within 24 hours, if you are not happy with our offer, your gold will be posted back to you free of charge.
How much will i be paid for my gold ?
This will depend upon the purity, quantity and current days fix prices. Our fully trained experts will value your items and make an offer to you based on all of the above and then once accepted, payment will be made to you straight away.
Does my gold need to have hallmarked ?
It is not essential that your jewellery is hallmarked as our valuer will test it’s purity to assess it accurately.
What if there are any gemstones in my gold ?
Generally, any gemstones will not have a value and can be laborious & costly to remove. If, however, there are any of sentimental value to that you wish to keep, we suggest removing them prior to sending.
Is my gold insured when sent to you ?
Yes, they are insured up to a value of £500 with Royal Mail, provided they are sent to us in the secure envelope provided with your pack.
If you feel the value should be higher, then you are able to increase the insured amount by taking it to your Post Office and paying a small additional fee.
Do you buy different gold colour or platinum ?
Yes, we do – as long as it’s a precious metal, we will buy it.
Whats happens if some of my jewellery turn out not to be precious metal ?
Our experienced valuers will review your jewellery once we receive it and test it to confirm what type of gold or metal it is. If it turns out not to be precious (eg thin gold plate etc) we will advise you accordingly.
Normally we would scrap such items as they have no value. If however you would like them to be returned to you, there would be a £15 charge to cover our processing and return postage costs.
How will i be paid for my gold ?
Direct (BACS) bank transfer Your payment is transferred straight into your bank account normally on the day we receive your items. Most UK banks now operate under the ‘Faster Payments System’, meaning that funds reach customer accounts the same day payment is issued. BACS payments are processed free-of-charge.
Cash Payments For security, we send cash using Royal Mail Special Delivery. To cover postage and handling fees, we charge £9.00.
